Books I Love
I love to read and learn! As a child, my summers were spent devouring books! As much as I love technology, I am so grateful to have lived through the 90s before iPads, Netflix, Instagram, Social Media, etc!
I feel called to share books I have read and absolutely love! This list will continue to grow! The brain is a muscle and deserves to be exercised! I love to expand my mind with new thoughts, ideas, stories from the past, history, and spirituality!
The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall
This is the first book I purchased when I started my healing crystal journey. It is still my favorite and most used book. It is literally the crystal bible! It includes information on over 100 healing crystals!
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
This mini book is one that I can and have reread many times! It may be a short book as far as pages, but the content and information in these pages are life changing. I reread this book at least once a year. Each time there is a different lesson. Each time I read this book a different agreement stands out to me.
Women Who Run with the Wolves: Myths & Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype by Clarissa Pinkola Estés, PhD
I will be quite honest! I have an obsession with purchasing books that are titled "Clarissa" or written by an author named "Clarissa". My name is Clarissa and its not a very common name! However this book is SO MUCH MORE than just a book written by someone with a fabulous name. I really enjoyed this book because it honors the fierce, intelligent, strong woman that is within all of us. It reminded me that this woman lives within us and its beautiful! I loved the stories that were in this book. Some stories I was familiar with and some I had never heard before. Each story was very unique and special. This book is long! And worth taking the time to read and devour each page like the wild woman you are!
The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo
I heard about this book for a while, it was recommended to me by a few people. I read it for my first time this year (2020). It blew me away! It took everything inside me to not read it all in one sitting. I really wanted to take the time to enjoy this book, page by page. To take in each lesson and really read each word. This is a book that deserves to be read by all. It is one that I will be reading once a year!
The Five Minute Journal by Intelligent Change
This is not a book, well, it is technically a book! But it is a journal! It is the Five Minute Journal! There are 1000 excuses we come up with why we can't journal, we don't know how, there is no time, etc. This is the perfect gratitude tool and it only takes 5 minutes! Everyone has 5 minutes. I use my Five Minute Journal everyday. Not only do you list what you are grateful for, you list what you want to get done, it has an inspirational quote, and a daily affirmation. It is perfect for self reflection at the beginning and end of the day.
